We did recently find a new awesome tool on the web. BPing is a command-line software like ping, but it communicates also with sounds.
As a network administrator, did you never wondered to get a command-line tool which has more awesome communication than long texts? BPing (pronounced as “beeping”) is a solution which transforms ping results with sounds.
You can also reverse the game: only play sounds when a specified host doesn’t anymore answer to ping requests. Awesome and useful for NOC (Network Operation Centers).
You can also personalize your sound by choosing your selected .wav file, you have the -f command-line parameter for it.
And another one feature, with BPing you can ping an IP range, not only one IP address. To test as soon as possible.
